The Puerto Rican/Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was started in May 2000 in Broward County. In November 2005 we expanded to Palm Beach County to continue benefiting and supporting Puerto Rican- and Hispanic-owned businesses in South Florida. Under the leadership of Santos O. Arroyo, Frank Nieves, Tenchy Salas, Roberto Roldan, Israel Pabon, Jose Rendon, Alex Allende, Sergio Casaine, Rey Vega, Frances Santana, and others, the Puerto Rican/Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for Palm Beach County Florida was born. The chamber focuses on promoting member businesses through our web page, e-mails, discount referral clubs, missions, monthly business card exchanges, Community Forums and other activities. The chamber also puts a strong emphasis on Hispanic culture and family values.
The chamber is the main sponsor of the Fiestas Patronales and Business Expo in Palm Beach & Broward Counties, an event that has helped the Chamber grow quickly and reach out to new aspects of the business community. The Chamber sponsor and promotes other cultural and civic organization such as The PROCER Group which mission is to preserve our Hispanic culture among the young, and Healthy Mothers/Healthy Babies Coalition of the Palm Beaches which emphasis is in the well being of young mothers and their new born.
The Chamber had partner with Fiesta de Pueblo Media Group, which has been an effective tool to reach new business owners for the Chamber as well as the community in general interested in cultural affairs.
Thanks to the hard work and support from our Board of Directors and our members all this has been accomplished to the socioeconomic well-being of the community.
